Ecstatic Chant and The Wisdom of Yoga

Imagine yourself entering a vibrant and healing social space with people who feel like old friends. You're welcomed by the sounds of harmonium and kirtan (call and response chanting). Then, in complete relaxation, you're nourished through insightful and captivating spiritual stories told by Swami Ramananda, and uplifted through universal chants for awakening by Jarek Czechowicz.

Gift yourself an evening of enlightening and healing energy. Enjoy stories, chanting and meditation in this rare collaborative event with Jarek Czechowicz and Swami Ramananda (USA).

Swami Ramananda

Swami Ramanada is a most senior disciple of Integral Yoga's founder Swami Satchidananda, an ecumenical eastern yogi who came to prominence after opening the 1969 Woodstock music festival. As  executive director of the San Francisco Integral Yoga Centre, Swami Ramananda continues Swami Satchidananda's teachings on living an easeful and useful life with a peaceful mind. Swami Ramananda has been practicing Yoga for over 40 years. He is a founding board member of the Yoga Alliance and serves on the Certification Committee of the International Association of Yoga Therapists.

Jarek Czechowicz

Jarek began his awakening early in life. He is not a part of any particular spiritual tradition. At around the age of 16 he penned the following verses:

Know your true nature,
Realise you true Self,
Worship no other,
You are the Light.

I'm no mind or thing,
There's no thing to mind,
Feeling the entire universe,
Become aware.

Jarek's recent chants and mantras include:

Love, love, Love I call your name, and in your joy I will remain I call your name.

Peaceful day, Peaceful way, peaceful heart, come what may.

I am earth, I am air, I am water, I am fire, I am everything, and all is good, so I sing.

Love because this universe is you in mysterious ways, live your days in love.

The light reveals our blessed way,
The night is longing for the day,
Awakening we pray,
May these days be filled with love.

Jarek's chants are often punctuated by short periods of silence, natural mediations, and healing intuitive music improvisations.

The tradition at Jarek's events is to bring some supper snacks to share during intermission. You can also help yourself  to Jarek's nourishing chai, made without caffeine.

This event is suitable for quiet children - those who are by nature inclined to participate quietly.
