Volunteers

Below are just a few of the things that happen behind the scenes to create this special event. If you have the skills to help in one or more of these areas, either occasionally or regularly, then please introduce yourself. Contact details are at the bottom of this page.

VOLUNTEER TASK LIST

Manual Labor

Tables / Seating / Equipment

Set up and dismantle tables for displays and refreshments.

Place and stack cushions and chairs.

Carry and unpack/pack equipment

Hospitality

Refreshments
Make, prepare, serve Chai (spicy tea) and other items including light food, soup, teas, cakes and biscuits.

Host/Hostess
Welcome people and provide basic directions and information.

Merchandising

Counter Attendant/s
Set up, manage and pack merchandise and printed materials.

Advertising

Advertising / Marketing / PR
Organise occasional media interviews and press articles. Manage placement of advertisements.

Printing / Photocopying
Manage printing and distribution of brochures, fliers and related printed materials.

Photocopy Lyrics & Music
Print, copy and distribute music, lyrics and related texts.

Mailing List
Manage the mailing list for these events. Copy the mailing list into an e-mail address book. Send out e-mails.

Lighting ( Electric Lighting )

Electric lighting
Manage all the electric lighting, indoor and outdoor, at the venue. Ensuring that lights are on/off/dimmed at the right times.

Candles & Incense

Candles
Manage all candle-light before and during the event.

Incense.
Manage incense before and during the event.

Heating / Cooling / Doors / Windows

Heaters
Manage the heating and cooling systems before and during the event.

Doors & Windows
Prevent slamming doors and windows. Prevent drafts.

Audio Engineer/s

Sound Recording & PA
Preferably at least 8 track digital recording and mastering capability. (Mechanical copyrights in all recordings made at these events remain with Jarek Czechowicz)

PA System
Set up PA system and microphone/s.

Information Technology

Webmaster
Maintain this website from time to time.

Miscellaneous Duties

General Helpers
Provide general assistance in any of the other areas.
